On Sept.4, 2012 I gave a 20-30 minute drumming performance for the patients, mostly old, sick, feeble and some on wheel chairs,at Ridge Meadows hospital, Maple Ridge. Believe me, it was such a gratifying and spiritual experience for me to have some rhythmic communication with several patients. I encouraged them to come and touch, try and play with me. I strongly believe that rhythmic expressions and participation in rhythmic ensemble with clapping, humming or some instrument serves to relax, stimulates the healing/recuperating process. I enjoyed every moment of it and so did most of the patients, who were awake, listening and participating.
