Arts

The Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Arts Council has been promoting and supporting arts and culture in the communities of Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge since 1971.

Mommy Connections

Ridge Meadows offers an 8 week program for Post Natal Moms & Moms of Toddlers. Each week is a different informative speaker with interactive topics that allows mom’s to connect with one another in a fun social setting and bond with their little ones all at once. Topics include infant massage, motor skills and development, sleep consultant, Pilates after baby, yoga with baby/tot, and nutrition just to name a few. These programs are an hour long once a week and are $85 for the program.  We also offer 2-hour weekend workshops on topics such as Infant/CPR, Couponing, Sleep Consultants and more which are always $30 for the workshop which include light snacks and refreshments. In addition we offer every 2 months a special Mommy’s Night Out Event or Mommy’s Spa Day full of door prizes, Swag Bag give-aways, fun activities in a great Ladies/Moms invited only environment. These tickets range from $20-$45 a ticket depending on the event. The depot accepts almost all kinds of beverage containers. Unfortunately, we don’t take beverage containers purchased in the U.S.

Emergency Services

Since its creation in 1941, the Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Service has been a fiercely proud group who are committed to providing a “professional” fire service to the citizens of the City of Pitt Meadows via dedicated and well-trained members.

The primary mission of the Maple Ridge Fire Department is the protection and preservation of life, property and the environment in the City. This service is provided by a group of 100 dedicated paid-on-call firefighters, 42 full-time firefighters, six chief offi­cers, and two administrative support staff.

Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue had its start in 1969 with the old Civil Defense and Emergency Measures Organization.

Libraries

The Pitt Meadows Library is located in Spirit Square by City Hall and the Recreation Centre.

The Maple Ridge Library is located on Dewdney Trunk Road behind Memorial Peace Park.

Heritage

In June of 1998, the Pitt Meadows Heritage and Museum Society moved in and the building became the new and permanent home of the Pitt Meadows Museum and Archives.

The Maple Ridge Historical Society has been the primary steward of community history since its inception in 1957.
