Project Fly In

Project Fly In 2011

When Frank Sinatra sang that legendary song, Fly me to the Moon, he would certainly have included Super, Natural British Columbia in his thoughts of travelling there. Where would he have explored along the way? Without doubt, stops in Kamloops, Lillooet, Pemberton and Pitt Meadows would have been high on his agenda.

Take part in the 2011 Fly-In and you, too, can discover these unique treasures of British Columbia hospitality and friendship. There are two sets of dates to choose from:  August 18 – 23, 2011 and September 2 – 7, 2011.

Upon arrival all participants will be greeted with BC’s Friendliest Welcome at the Kamloops Airport. A great way to start your journey! An information booth and package will be provided to all participants by a knowledgeable host that will be able to answer any questions that you may have. The package will include information about communities that you will be visiting, maps and valuable coupons to use during your stay. A designated welcome and rendezvous area will be set up at the East end of the Kamloops Airport on both Thursday, August 18th and Friday, September 2nd from 8:30 to 16:30 each day.

Be the first to take this pre-planned journey as the communities come together to offer many authentic experiences, such as Centre of the Universe in Kamloops, ancient fishing grounds and pithouses in Lillooet, the Slow Food movement in Pemberton and exciting tree top adventures in Pitt Meadows. So many more possibilities wait for you at www.vcmbc.com/flyin, where there is also information on accommodation and travel.
